Happy Hampden Holiday

Wow, is Hampden fun during the holidays. First of all, it turns out I live right around the corner from the craziest block of holiday lights EVER, a phenomenon known as the miracle on 34th street. I mean, these photos can't even really do justice to the quantity of holiday cheer that is being generated on 34th street.

The IC and I decided to go out to try and find some dessert and coffee last night, and we stumbled into the Annual Ms. Claus Pub Crawl, which involved a lot of elaborately costumed lady Santas caroling through the streets. Our favorite was the incredible Marie-Antoinette-style Ms. Claus with the giant swirling snowglobe...in her hair:

And then Christmas Elvis came along.

And there was even a biker Santa.

Our favorite yard on 34th street has a robot manger tableau:

Then, today we went up to 36th Street for lunch and there was a HUGE holiday parade. With marching bands and horses and everything!

We're having an awesome weekend.
